Svalbard Research Trip (2016)

Mission Plan:

I was part of a team invited by the ESA, based on previous project work (CanSat) invited to launch high altitude experiments by the ESA in Svalbard.

We launched 3 experiments, A livestream video camera, a  LORA camera and a EFM. I designed all three launch systems, and the mechanics within the EFM, as well as the base station of the livestream and LORA.

We launched the 3 balloons to burst heights of 40km. We then presented our finding at the Young Scientists Journal Conference at Cambridge in October 2016. Using the experienced gained from the project, our team ran a competition for students aged 10-16, helping them design experiments and launch them with help from students and Professors from Cambridge University
